Fortunately, with today's advanced dental implant solutions, you can replace missing teeth with dental implants, a life-long solution that will help you regain your teeth's natural function, and have you smiling and enjoying life again with confidence.

Dental implant procedure

What is a dental implant?
An implant is a small titanium post that replaces the root portion of a missing natural tooth. The implant is placed in the jawbone, allowed to bond with the bone, and serves as an anchor for the permanent ceramic crown (replacement tooth.) A proven restorative option, dental implants are considered the best alternative for replacing missing teeth for two major reasons.

Dental Implant
The first of these is the preservation of bone levels in your jaw. When a tooth is lost, your bone deteriorates over a very short period of time from a lack of bone stimulation. Dental implants help preserve the bone levels in your jaw, as well as help maintain the integrity of your facial structure.

Secondly, the function of implants is superior to any other form of replacement. Since implants are anchored securely in your jaw, the permanent crown placed on the implant functions far better than a traditional bridge or denture. As the closest possible replacement to your natural teeth, dental implants will look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth-or even better!
How is an implant done?
The first step is a comprehensive evaluation of your teeth, existing bone levels, and medical history. Once the treatment plan has been determined and agreed upon, your implant(s) will be placed. We'll use anesthesia and relaxation techniques to help eliminate any discomfort or fear you may have. Typically, the implants need a few months to integrate into the jawbone, during which a 'temporary' tooth replacement may be placed.

The final step is the placement of the custom-crafted permanent ceramic crown on the implant. With your new dental implant(s), you can regain the capabilities you once had with your natural teeth, giving you a second chance at eating, laughing, and simply enjoying life with confidence!
